Principal’s Notes

I want to extend a special welcome to our newest kindergarten student,
Aiva Fernandez. Her parents are Megan Jackstadt and Adam Fernandez. We are glad to welcome you to our SSPP family.

The first quarter ends tomorrow. Report cards will be available for viewing next Wednesday. Please print, sign, and return the report or message the teacher via Fast Direct to verify that you have seen it. Contact the office, if you have trouble viewing it or want a hard copy.

Parent-teacher conferences will be held on October 26th, 27th, and 28th. A conference request form will be in tomorrow’s Friday folder. Please be aware of the October 19th deadline on the form. I cannot guarantee a time after the deadline. You will get a conference schedule in next week’s Friday folder.

Red Ribbon Week is October 24th-27th. During this week, we will reinforce our anti-drug and anti-bullying messages. Please see the Backpack News for the daily dress-up days. Every student who participates gets a sticker to wear during the day.

We continue to collect dog and cat items for ARF during October. All families who donate will receive a dress down day pass.

Our annual auction is fast approaching. The success of the auction is critical for the school budget. Much of our technology and our curriculum programs depend upon funds generated at the auction. Please do whatever you can to make the auction a success.

KUDOS to: All who have donated auction items.

Athletic Grade Checks
Students who are playing sports will not be eligible to play games, if they have one failing grade. Students with one F will be ineligible for one week. They can regain eligibility at the next grade check. Grade checks are done each Thursday.
