Principal’s Notes

We give thanks to God for all of the blessings bestowed upon us!

There will be no Backpack News or Principal’s Notes next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Please keep in mind our SCRIP program for your holiday shopping. I know from personal experience that gift cards beat standing in line for Christmas shopping. The quicker that you return the form, the quicker we can get it ordered for you.

The Advent season begins next weekend (Nov. 26-27). Advent is the start of the Church calendar year.

One last call for any phone number changes for School Messenger. If you have not been receiving School Messenger phone messages, please contact the office. This is the official school notification when school will close for weather. I will try to get school closures on Channels 2, 4, and 5, as well as on Fast Direct. Our virtual lessons will be posted on Fast Direct for now.

The school office will be open on Wednesday from 9-noon. The office will be closed from Thanksgiving through Sunday.

Native American Museum
The fifth grade will open their Native American Museum next Tuesday in the cafeteria from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.. Everyone is welcome to visit.

IXL Math Program
We have purchased the IXL Math program for our students from PK-Algebra. The teachers have been testing it for various uses. We had a webinar yesterday that answered a lot of questions. We are planning to integrate it into the AR store. Students will earn points to redeem at the AR store. Students can access IXL from any device. Each teacher will be able to answer your questions about its usage.

Auction
We still have items from Party Central for you to purchase if you missed the auction. We will gladly accept any tax-deductible Raise Your Paddle donations as well. The IXL program was purchased with these funds.
