This fourth week of Advent is short – only one day until Christmas. May God bless each of you and your beautiful families abundantly at Christmas and into the new year!
At 8:15 Mass today the students, faculty and parish staff presented Father John with a gift of framed prints for Christmas. Several years ago while on a trip to Rome, Father John purchased the unframed prints. So this year three of these prints are framed and ready to hang. Thank you all for your thoughtfulness and generosity to Father John for all that he stands for and for all that he does for the parish and the school.
During Christmas break our servers will be down for servicing and installation of surge protection.
Fast Direct will be open so parents can view First Semester Report Cards
Eighth grade night is January 3, 2018! We will honor our 8th grade boys and girls basketball players, their parents and coaches at the games that night. Let’s pack the gym and support our 8th grade!
Extended Care Reminder: Thursday, December 21, we will only offer Before School Care so the staff can attend the Parish Staff Christmas party – See you January 3! To ensure students and staff members safety, if the school closes for winter weather, Before and After Care will be closed.
SAFETY FIRST: Morrison St. entrance is for bus drop off. Dropping off students there in the morning creates a safety hazard . Please drop students off at the Johnson St, door (the street between the gym/cafeteria and the church/school). School Personnel are at the Johnson St. entrance until 8:05.
Parents are invited to help shape the future of our school and join the School Board and Faculty on Thursday, January 18 as we develop the next 3-5 year plan together – plotting the future of our school! Details in January.
In January each class will be asked to represent our school as Fellowship Hosts after Mass one weekend a month. We will need 2-3 parents from each grade to give a few minutes to set up before Mass and about 20-30 minutes after Mass. Liz Dalton will fill you in with details when you serve. Let’s choose to be Servant Leaders to our fellow parishioners and guests.
Congratulations to Jessy Wright and Melissa Pope, our Cafeteria Staff, who earned 100% the Madison County Health Department Inspection. Thank you, Ladies, for your diligence and hard work!
Enjoy your Christmas break! I will welcome you back on Wednesday, January 3, 2018!
Christmas Blessings,
Mrs. Peg Bodinet
Interim Principal
