SSPP School Band: To All 4th to 8th Grade Students and Their Parents not in the Band Program:
This coming Tuesday, August 23rd, there will be a meeting in the SSPP School Cafeteria to discuss the beginning band program and about joining it. The meeting will start at 7:00 P.M. If your student is in one of the upper grades and you feel it is too late for them to learn to play an instrument, it is never too late! I’ve had an 8th grader join as a beginner and has turned out to be a successful musician, so don’t let age be a hindrance. If there is a concern about cost or renting an instrument, please come to the meeting and talk to me. We have a few used school owned instruments that may be loaned out.
If you cannot make the meeting, please call me so that we can make other arrangements. I am at school on Tuesday thru Thursday, or I can be reached by leaving a message on Fast Direct, e-mailing me a edw1sladek@hotmail.com, or calling my home or cell phone.
Sincerely, Michael Sladek, SSPP Band Director
