September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
Keep collecting your spare change!! Kellsie’s Hope Foundation “Sock It to Cancer” Change Drive will continue until the end of September. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and again this year the Foundation is continuing their mission to fund research for pediatric cancers.
URGENT MESSAGE:
ANY parent/guardian who may coach, want to be a field trip chaperone, classroom helper (room parent), playground supervisor or lunch helper MUST complete the Protecting God’s Children program plus have a Background Check processed. This is in accordance with the Safe Environment policy of the Springfield Diocese. We may be contacting you to resubmit a background check as they are good for only 5 years.

Thanks to everyone who has been sending in class donations for the always fun, Class Themed Baskets. They are looking great! We can still use help!
1) We are requesting that you continue to look for sponsors, company donations and/or pull together ready-made baskets or individual items that we can combine to make themed baskets. Donation forms are on the SSPP website.
2) We are looking for volunteers to assist Mrs. Campbell with making the hand crafted, class projects. We can use a few folks that are available during the day to come into school and help with projects.
3) We will begin assembling baskets next week and will continue to meet bi-weekly or weekly, as needed. If you are interested in helping, please let us know, we will send you the dates and times.
Uniform Swap!
I would like to have a couple of parent volunteers coordinate the uniforms that have been donated. A table will be set out during Parent/Teacher Conferences for those that are in need of newer uniforms. Contact LouAnne.
