Principal’s Notes

If you have not registered for next year, you will be receiving a reminder letter. Our pre-registration was very successful. If you have not registered for financial reasons, please contact me and I can give you some options. If you know for certain that your students will not be returning, please let the office know ASAP. We currently are short of our target goal for Kindergarten. Please spread the word about SSPP. If you recruit a new family, I will have an incentive for you as well.

The third quarter ends tomorrow and report cards will be posted next Wednesday at noon. If you have trouble viewing them, please contact the office. I would also like to remind you that all accounts should be current. This time of year can be hectic and the end of school will be here before you know it. Remember that your fundraising goal should be met on April 30th. We will still add the golf tournament on May 13th.

Next week we have two special events. On Tuesday, the students in grades 5-8 will have Vocations speakers provided by the Serra Club. On Friday, the 7th grade will present the Living Stations of the Cross at 1:40 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend on Friday. They will also present these special stations on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. All of our students will be attending Adoration on Thursday.

Asbestos abatement of the old parish office will begin on April 4th. The area between school and church will be off limits until the process is completed. Students will be dismissed out of the Morrison Street doors at normal time. Please gather in that area to pick up your students. Please enter school by way of the Morrison St. doors as well.

Kudos To
Our 8th grade volleyball players and parents for their hard work and dedication throughout the years.
Our volleyball coaches for giving of their time to guide our students.
Our SIU-E Science Olympiad teams who finished in a tie for 15th and 20th out of 40 teams in the recent contest.

Summer Latchkey
Don’t forget that our Latchkey will be open during the summer. It is open from 6:30 am-6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. (We will be closed on May 30 for Memorial Day, June 24 for the parish event and July 4 for Independence Day.) Please remember that our summer attendance allows us to continue to operate the school year program. Registration sheets and information are available in the office. Ms. Christine has set up a wonderful camp-style program this year. You even have the option of coming to individual camps to break the boredom of summer.
