Last day of school Friday, May 18, 2018 dismissal will be 11:15 am. There will be no Extended After School Care that day.

Saints Wax Museum last weekend and week was lovingly brought to us by Mrs. Phetsadasack’s fourth grade class. You made us all reflect on the lives of some pretty spectacular people drawn together through their love of God.

Our students enjoyed Junior Achievement for Half a Day on Thursday with Schnucks employees bringing this program to our students. Thank you, for all that you taught us about being good citizen and stewards of our world.

Food Services, our Cafeteria management company, is honoring our 8th grade students with a special BBQ lunch on Friday, May 4 for their service in the cafeteria this year. We are so proud of this class! Thank you for being your best!!

It’s time for “Spring Cleaning out the closets”. Children clothes of all sizes and seasons can be brought to the Our Savior Prayer Room next week as we help to sponsor a collection for children in need in our community. See the attached flyer. All clothes MUST be boxed or bagged. Collection ONLY through Friday, May 4.

Thank you to all of our parents, grands and friends who accompanied us on Field Trips this month! Your help made our Field Trips even better!

“Once Upon A Time Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School had a Family Reading Night and we all had so much fun!” Special “Thank you” to everyone who supported our Book Fair. From the proceeds we are able to purchase 5 Wish List Books for each classroom plus a classroom set of calculators, Science World & Scholastic News for various grade levels next year. Thank you to everyone for making it so special!

Registration is open for next school year Preschool – grade 8. Don’t be hesitant to brag about what a great school we have in Ss. Peter & Paul. When you spread your pride around, the joy shows!

We are still excited about our students’ progress in Math Computation skills on the IOWA Assessments. Using Math flash cards and computer Math ‘games’ throughout the summer will continue to strengthen these skills and make our students stronger than ever for Math in August!

1. Go: Empowerillinois.com to complete a brief online form to time stamp your application for the first-come, first-served scholarships.
2. Apply: After reserving your place in line, families will be emailed a unique link and use their reservation code to complete the application. Applications will be sent on a rolling basis, over the course of a few weeks. After receiving the application email, families will have 7 days to complete the application and submit all required documents.

Flashback Friday: Mr. Sladek heard from SSPP alum Brian Cacioppo who went from here to Collinville HS, Northwestern University, SIUE School of Medicene and is now doing his residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Congratulations Dr. Brian!
