Pro Life Chain – Due to inclement weather, we could not hold our mini school Life Chain around the flagpole this week. What we ARE doing is creating a paper Life Chain with our prayer intentions for Respect Life month. We are asking our PSR friends to add to the chain as it links us all together throughout the school.

YOU have been invited and I hope you RSVP soon to Auction 2017 – Saturday, November 11 on our Trip to the Islands! It is sure to be an evening of fun, fellowship and fundraising. I hope to see you there!

Our school families have been asked to serve as Fellowship Hosts for our parish after Mass when available. Host families are needed the weekend after Thanksgiving for the 8am and 10:30 Masses. If you can give a few minutes to set up before Mass and about 20-30 minutes after Mass to help that weekend, it would be most appreciated. Contact Mrs. Bodinet if you are available to help. Liz Dalton will fill you in with details but the most important need is a willingness to help and a smile!

Join us on Sunday, October 29th from 6:30-8 p.m. in the church parking lot for TRUNK or TREAT!!!! Welcome to kids up to 8th grade IN COSTUME! If you have a decorated trunk and want to treat, please RSVP to Kelley Gaither @ KELLEYG8R@HOTMAIL.COM or Angie at CEMA292001@YAHOO.COM. All vehicles need to arrive by 6 p.m. This is sure to be a SPOOKTACULAR EVENT!!

Red Ribbon Week – October 23-27, celebrates the law officers who lost their lives protecting others from the distribution and sale of drugs. We learn to say NO to things that can harm us and as part of Respect Life month, say YES to the gifts that God has given to us. Here is how we plan to celebrate:

Monday – Oct 23 – “Team Up Against Drugs” – Students may wear Sports jerseys, etc . **and dress code bottoms.
Tuesday – Oct 24 – “I’m Too Cool for Drugs” – wear/bring sunglasses
Wednesday – Oct 25 – “I’m Quite a Character!” – dress as your favorite literary character.**
Thursday – Oct 26 – “Wear Red Day” – students may wear red SSPP shirt/sweatshirt or another red shirt and dress code bottoms.

**Red shirts, character costumes and sport jerseys must adhere to dress code regulations in the handbook.**

8th Grade Shadow Days at McGivney! During the Shadow Day 8th graders will be matched with a McGivney Student ambassador to follow that students’ schedule, meet other students, teachers and be introduced to their school technology . At the end of the day, 8th grade family members will have the opportunity to meet with Mr. Lombardi, McGivney Principal, to talk and ask any questions. Check the Fr. McGivney website for a Shadow Day form to fill out if your 8th grader would like to attend

Our children learn from what we say, but they often learn even more from what we do. Let’s do it together!
