National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day
This Day is observed annually in the United States on October 15th. It is a remembrance for pregnancy loss and infant death which includes, but is not limited to, miscarriage, still birth, SIDS or death of a newborn. On the weekend of October 20th & 21st, Ss. Peter & Paul Parish would like to remember these special souls by having a lit candle present on the baptismal font for each child or family that has experienced this loss. Please contact Kimberly Zagorski at kzagorski@saintspeter-paul.org or call the parish office at 618-345-4343 ext 103. Information needs to be submitted prior to Friday, October 19th.

VISION AND HEARING SCREENINGS
Screenings have been scheduled for Monday, October 29, 2018. If your student is included in the mandated program, you will receive a notice in their Friday Folder.

State mandates that all NEW AND TRANSFER students have a vision & hearing screening, unless said student provides a report indicating that an examination has been administered within the previous 12 months.

“Vision screening is not a substitute for a complete eye and vision evaluation by an eye doctor. Your child is not required to undergo this vision screening if an optometrist or ophthalmologist has completed and signed a report indicating that an examination has been administered within the previous 12 months and that evaluation is on file at the school.”

Kindergarten: Every student Hearing & Vision, First Grade: Every student Hearing only
Second Grade: Every student Hearing & Vision, Third Grade: Every student Hearing only
