Principal’s Pen October 26, 2018

Dear Parents,
I am so pleased to see that we have so many parents signed up for parent/teacher conferences! This is another great way for parents to support their child’s education. The home and school bond must be strong in order for all children to live up to his/her potential. If you have not signed up yet you still have time.

Don’t forget: Book Fair will be held in the hallways during Parent/Teacher Conferences Nov 1 & 2 and after all Masses on Nov 3 & 4. A book is a present you can open again and again!!

Auction: We are getting closer and closer to our Auction. It will be my first Auction here at Ss Peter and Paul and I am looking forward to it! Remember tickets are on sale now for $40.00 but after October 27th they will be $50.00 so now is the time to purchase them.

November 4th – Open House – Father McGivney High School is hosting a “Fall Preview Day” for prospective families. The theme for the event is “Building Griffins – Mind, Body, and Spirit”. This day will allow parents and future students to see the Catholic faith-based presentation in the gym at 1 p.m. followed by a guided tour of a typical student’s schedule. Teachers will be giving presentations in their classrooms. Coaches and staff will be available to help with any questions.

US: A Teen History – The Drama Department at Father McGivney High School is presenting two shows on November 8th and 9th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.00. All are invited.

If you have not had a chance to read the message that Ms. Howard sent to you about Parenting in the Digital Age, it has some very good information that is helpful for parents. The web-sites are very good for each topic. Hopefully, this information will be of some help for you.

Pre-School’s trip to Relleke’s Pumpkin Farm
Students had a great time sitting on the giant pumpkins!

Kindergarten and First Grade ventured to Rhodes Farm.
Their pumpkin hats were made by Mrs. Juarez.

Veteran’s Mass – If any of our students have parents, grandparents or uncles/aunts that are Veterans, they are invited to celebrate Mass with us at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13th, followed by donuts and coffee.

Bus Drill – On Wednesday, October 24th all students participated in a Bus Drill. Students learned how to remain calm and depart the bus if something would happen while riding the bus.

As the fall leaves begin to turn their beautiful colors, let us remember and be thankful for God’s hand in this beauty He has given to us.

Blessings to you and your family,
Miss Patricia Kirk
